Almost 80 years ago, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose hoisted the Indian flag in the South point area of Port Blair. Today, that exact spot has a flag pole, where one can see the Indian flag flutter ever-so-proudly. The spot is called the Flag Point.Located at an altitude of 150 feet, the Flag Point is one of the most popular places in Port Blair, and one that’s most visited too.
